My two Aloe plants.

I bought 2 aloe plants at a store. They were both very small at the start. I got them 2 years ago, somewhere in 2010. They have grown quite a lot in those two years. They are still small, however, so I'm a bit worried their living conditions are not well enough. The one on the left has lost three leaves in the past few months. I don't know if that is normal or not. As you can see, they are growing smaller leaves in the center, so I know they are still growing. The plant on the right is turning slightly yellowish at the tips of most of its leaves. I read that it could be just from over-watering, yet I only water them once a month. I love them so much, and would hate to see them die. Please help. :


Also, could you please identify their species?
