{"id":6388,"date":"2025-06-05T13:29:40","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T11:29:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bdva.eu\/?post_type=news&#038;p=6388"},"modified":"2025-06-18T09:56:54","modified_gmt":"2025-06-18T07:56:54","slug":"towards-a-european-ai-data-value-ecosystem","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/bdva.eu\/news\/towards-a-european-ai-data-value-ecosystem\/","title":{"rendered":"BDVA\u2019s response to the AI Continent Action Plan: Towards a European AI-data value ecosystem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Big Data Value Association (BDVA) has released its response to the European Commission\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu\/en\/library\/ai-continent-action-plan\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">AI Continent Action Plan<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Action Plan outlines a bold vision to place Europe at the forefront of trustworthy AI development, backed by the launch of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bdva.eu\/news\/investai-200-bil-euro-in-ai\/\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">InvestAI<\/span><\/b><\/a> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">and a commitment to mobilise \u20ac200 billion. BDVA welcomes this strategic initiative but stresses the need for a more unified approach to Europe\u2019s AI and data strategies. A truly integrated AI\u2013data value ecosystem is essential, linking infrastructure, data, AI, talent, regulation and innovation. BDVA also calls for a stronger focus on the Action Plan\u2019s broader impact on society, as well as on economic aspects, competitiveness and prosperity overall. While the strategy rightly addresses trustworthiness, skills, and talent, it lacks a clear vision for the AI-driven future that Europe wants to create.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Other relevant aspects highlighted in the paper are the industry co-leadership, the need in the overall AI lifecycle considering the important factor of timing, and the need to stress clarity, simplification and sustainability not only in regulation but also in implementation instruments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<script
