Expanding data-driven ecosystems across sectors and (global) value chains"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>(V1.0 August 2024)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This theme aims to provide a framework for federating existing and future digital ecosystems with data at the core of their value generation.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Data Spaces Support Center (DSSC)<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>, a data space is a distributed system defined by a governance framework that enables secure and trustworthy data transactions between participants while supporting trust and data sovereignty. A data space is implemented by one or more infrastructures and enables one or more use cases.<\/p>\n<p>Data spaces can be seen as collaborative innovation platforms based on data sharing that play an intermediate step in data value generation. In this regard, data spaces should not work in isolation but instead connected to other data spaces (in a cross-sector basis) to break data silos and leverage the whole potential of data. However, data spaces can also connect to other digital ecosystems, providing additional components to support data flow through the value chain and complement value generation.<\/p>\n<p>Based on all the above, the objective of this theme is to consider data value generation beyond data spaces, keeping data sharing as a critical aspect that multiplies the value of data but increasing this value with additional features resulting from cross-data space synergies, services and new technologies such as GenAI.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> https:\/\/dssc.eu\/<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":5504,"menu_order":2,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","doc_tag":[],"class_list":["post-5529","docs","type-docs","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>III.
