BDVA<\/strong>\u00a0is an industry-driven international not-for-profit organisation, headquartered in Brussels, with over 250 members<\/a> all over Europe and a well-balanced composition of large, small and medium-sized industries, start-ups as well as research and user organisations. Our focus is on Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation. BDVA believes in innovation through experimentation, collaboration, and co-learning.<\/span><\/p>\n We help advance and promote areas such as big data technologies and services, data platforms and data spaces, Industrial AI, data-driven value creation, standardisation and skills.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Our mission and objectives are:<\/span><\/p>\n BDVA*<\/span> enables existing regional multi-partner cooperation, to collaborate at the European level through the provision of tools and <\/span>know-how<\/span> to support the co-creation, <\/span><\/span><\/span>development<\/span><\/span><\/span> and experimentation of pan-European data-driven applications and services.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The Big Data Value Association<\/strong> was established in 2014 as the private counterpart of the European Commission in the Big Data Value Public Private Partnership. Since then, the Association has served the community within and outside the scope of the Partnership and has been instrumental in developing research and innovation agendas and roadmaps, guidelines for industry and <\/span>policymakers<\/span> and in creating a forum for knowledge-sharing and discussions on Big Data, Data Value and AI at the EU level<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n BDVA has been the private side of the H2020 partnership<\/span> Big Data Value <\/b><\/span>cPPP<\/b><\/span><\/a>, is a <\/span>private member of the <\/b><\/span>EuroHPC JU<\/b><\/span><\/a> and is also one of the<\/span> founding members of the <\/b><\/span>AI, Data and Robotics Partnership<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/a><\/p>\n BDVA is the go-to place for the future of European Data and AI! BDVA GA approves the general policy of the Association <\/span>based on<\/span> proposals of the Board of Directors and gives recommendations to the Board of Directors for its application.<\/span><\/p>\n The Board of Directors<\/a> (BoD) is selected by the General Assembly (2-year mandate). <\/span>The Board of Directors oversees the reaching of the Association\u2019s objectives.<\/span> It follows the resolutions, instructions and recommendations adopted by the General Assembly. The GA also elects the President, Vice President(s) and Treasurer.<\/span><\/p>\n The Secretary General (SG) is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Association with the support of the BDVA Secretariat and Office Staff<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
