The "Can you identify this plant?" you've shown in the picture is actually a Kalanchoe (cal-i-en-choe-hee), not an aloe. I'm not 100% sure of the species name, but I think maybe pinnata? Anyway, Kalanchoes are from South Africa and Madagascar. I used to grow these when I was a child, I sure haven't seen one in a long, long time!
