Remember to pick and choose food carefully when eating out. This also applies if you have prepared a big meal for others, and are offering lots of choices. The problem comes when you enjoy the company you are with, and cheerfully put something of everything on your plate. Some foods do get along well together in your digestive system and you may find you get an upset stomach or more.

This has happened to me the last two or three weekends. I prepared a plentiful selection of foods for my guests, and then enjoyed their company so much that I forgot my helpful little rule - not to eat fruit and vegetables at the same meal.

I've read recently too, that one should not eat carbohydrates with our meats. Vegetables are okay, but things like pastas can cause distress in some bowel systems. I haven't had time to observe that in me, so I'm totally sure it applies to me.

But I am tired of sacrificing Monday mornings to sick headaches and staying near the bathroom until my system is emptied. So I am resolving to be more alert and deliberately picky when eating a meal with company, or as a guest.
